Who doesn’t love Mac and Cheese?
Make it healthier by adding Broccoli.
Mac n Cheese Ingredients:
Penne Pasta
Béchamel Sauce
Boiled Broccoli
Cheddar Cheese
Salt
Pepper
Method:
To prepare Béchamel Sauce, in a saucepan add in 1 tbsp butter, when it starts to melt, add in 1 tbsp flour and whisk until it forms a paste.
Add in 1 cup of warm milk gently, and continue whisking till the sauce thickens.
Add in Salt and freshly ground Pepper.
Add in cheddar cheese and pour it over the boiled penne.
Add in Boiled broccoli stems and gently mix.
Tip :
Béchamel Sauce can be refrigerated up to 2 days. While storing place a cling film directly on top of the sauce. Before using it all you need to do is whisk it and reheat again for the sauce to be smooth again. If it becomes thick, add milk or homemade chicken broth.
